urging the united states environmental protection agency to clean up and eradicate uranium and related air and water pollution in the state of arizona.

To the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency:

      Your memorialist respectfully represents:

Whereas, uranium and related air and water pollution within the State of Arizona are detrimental to this state's economic health and the physical health of its citizens, particularly those citizens who reside on American Indian lands; and

Whereas, it is the duty of the United States Environmental Protection Agency to eradicate such harmful pollution; and

Whereas, we call on the appropriate federal entities to take immediate action to clean up harmful uranium and related air and water pollution in the State of Arizona.

Wherefore your memorialist, the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring, prays:

1.  That the United States Environmental Protection Agency take immediate steps to implement the eradication and cleanup of uranium and related air and water pollution in this state.

2.  That the Attorney General of the State of Arizona consider any appropriate legal actions to compel such action by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

3.   That the Secretary of State of the State of Arizona transmit copies of this Memorial to the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Attorney General of the State of Arizona and each Member of Congress from the State of Arizona.
