AN ACT
amending title 16, chapter 4, article 12, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-661.01, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to recounts.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 16, chapter 4, article 12, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-661.01, to read:
16-661.01. Recounts; bond; procedure
A. A person may file an action for a recount in any election that is not subject to an automatic recount as prescribed by section 16-661 if the person files a bond with the superior court in a form and an amount as determined by the court to be sufficient to provide for full reimbursement of the costs of conducting the recount.
B. A recount that is conducted pursuant to this section shall comply with the requirements and procedures for an automatic recount prescribed by this article.
