Overview

Appropriates $1,000,000 from the state General Fund (GF) to the Arizona Water Protection Fund (AWPF).

The purpose of the AWPF is to provide annual funding for the development and implementation of measures that maintain, enhance and restore rivers, streams and wildlife habitats (azwpf.gov). The AWPF is administered by the Arizona Water Protection Fund Commission who provides grants to public and private entities that participate in water resource management activities in cooperation with local residents and jurisdictions (A.R.S. § 45-2101).

 

$400,000 was appropriated to the AWPF in FY 2019.

 

Provisions

1.       Appropriates $1,000,000 from the state GF to the AWPF in FY 2020. (Sec. 1)
