History

A juvenile can in some circumstances be prosecuted as an adult (A.R.S. § 13-501). A juvenile who commits an offense eligible for prosecution as an adult may only be detained in a juvenile detention center if the offense is not a dangerous offense (A.R.S. § 8-305).

Provisions

1.       Deletes the definition of "dangerous offense" from this section (Sec 1).

2.       Permits a court to order a juvenile charged with a dangerous offense to be detained in a juvenile detention center (Sec 1).
