History

Specifies the circumstances under which a licensed pharmacist can initiate, monitor, and modify drug therapy. Further, the statute outlines the protocols that must be followed. A.R.S. § 32-1970  

A.R.S. § 32-1979.01 pertains to emergency refills and outlines the requirements for a licensed pharmacist to dispense one-time emergency refill for prescriptions of noncontrolled medications.

Provisions

1.       Clarifies that a patient must be referred by a provider for drug therapy protocols. (Sec. 1)

2.       Repeals A.R.S. § 32-1979.01 as it relates to emergency refills and requirements. (Sec. 2)
