Overview

Modifies the requirement for an insurer to indicate the number assigned to the insurer by the Arizona Department of Transporation (ADOT) on documentary evidence.

History

Laws 2018, Chapter 166, § 11 established that all documentary evidence issued by an insurer or an authorized agent of the insurer must indicate the number that ADOT assigns to the insurer. All documentary evidence must also have the name of the insurer, the mailing address and telephone number of the insurer or authorized agent, other information as required by ADOT and if a binder is issued by an agent of an insurer, the name, address and telephone number of the agent (A.R.S. §28-4133).   

Provisions

1.       Requires the number assigned to an insurer by ADOT to be indicated on motor vehicle insurance identification cards, rather than on all documentary evidence issued by the insurer. (Sec. 1)
