This bill also allows the county treasurer to charge a fee of not more than $150 for administrative costs.

History

Current law, A.R.S. §42-18056, only addresses the acceptance and crediting of a taxpayer's partial payments by the county treasurer. Also, it does not provide for a county treasurer to charge a fee for administrative costs.

Provisions

1.       Allows a county treasurer to enter into a payment plan for up to 36 months if a taxpayer has delinquent taxes of more than $1,000. (Sec. 1)

2.       Allows a county treasurer to charge a fee of not more than $150 for administrative costs associated with processing the payment plan. (Sec. 1)
