Extends the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) report to December 1, 2019 and to be reported to the Senate and House of Representative successor committees.
History
Laws 2018, Chapter 151 requires AHCCCS to report to the chairpersons of the senate health and human services committee and the house of representative's health committee on the current number of behavioral health residential facility beds that are available in this state for adults determined to have a serious mental illness.
Provisions
1. Extends the AHCCCS report on the current number of behavioral health residential facility beds and supportive housing beds that are available to December 1, 2019. (Sec. 1)
2. Adds the successor committees of the senate health and human services committee and the house of representative's health committee to the reporting requirements. (Sec. 1)
3. Makes a technical change. (Sec. 1)
Amendment
Committee on Health & Human Services
1. Requires ACHHHS to add the following to their report:
a. Average length of stay;
b. The number of persons arrested during their time as a resident;
c. The number of beds that have 24 hour, seven days a week, support and supervision; and
d. The number of persons who leave the facility against the advice of the treatment team.
