Appropriates $2.5 million from the state GF in FY 2020 to the Arizona Arts Trust Fund (AATF).
History
A.R.S. § 41-983.01 creates the AATF and explains the fund shall be administered by the Arizona Commission on the Arts. The fund allows the State Treasurer to invest and divests monies in the fund. Monies in the AATF are used to award grants to organizations with the purpose of advancing and fostering the arts in Arizona, and it derives its revenues from filing fee. (A.R.S. § 10-122)
In FY 2019, $2 million was appropriated out of the Budget Stabilization Fund to the Arizona Commission on the Arts for a one-time deposit to the AATF. The budget appropriated this amount from interest income earned on the Budget Stabilization Fund.
