Designates November 1, 2019 as Access to Postsecondary Education and Training Day to increase awareness of the benefits of postsecondary education and training.
History
Some state educational agencies have prioritized improving postsecondary educational attainment. For example, the Arizona Board of Regents and the state's universities have developed several goals to achieve by 2025 that involves improving recruitment, retention, and graduation of undergraduate students. These goals focus on the following areas:
a. Undergraduate enrollment;
b. Freshmen retention rate;
c. 6-year graduation rate;
d. Bachelor's degrees awarded to Arizona community college transfer students; and
e. Bachelor's degrees awarded to all students (ABOR's Strategic Plan).
Provisions
1. Designates November 1, 2019 as Access to Postsecondary Education and Training Day.
