Repeals statute that prohibits a state employee from becoming a member of the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) before the 27th week of employment.
History
Current statute prescribes that any state employee who is initially hired on or after July 20, 2011 is not eligible to become a member of any state retirement system before the 27th week of employment. The state employee will become a member of the state retirement system if membership criteria are met when the employee reaches the 27th week of employment (A.R.S. §38-671).
