AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
·
Specifies
that monies from the Community Services Special Plate Fund are to be
distributed to a 501(c)(3) organization that meets all of the following:
a) is located in an
unincorporated community with a population of less than 500 persons at an
elevation of at least 7,000 feet in Pima county;
b) promotes economic
development and cooperation with Pima county and other governmental
organizations;
c) solicits and
administers grants to improve public facilities; and
d) sponsors events and
educational activities that promote tourism and fire prevention.

revenue code for federal income tax purposes and that meets all of the
following:
1. Is
located in an incorporated community with a population of less than five
hundred persons and an elevation of at least seven thousand feet and that is
located in a county with a population of more than five hundred thousand
persons and less than one million five hundred thousand persons.
2. Promotes
economic development and business cooperation with the county and other
governmental organizations.
3. Solicits
and administers grants to improve public facilities.
4. Sponsors,
hosts or organizes events and educational activities that promote tourism and
fire prevention."
