AN ACT
Amending section
36‑2903.04, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to the Arizona health care
cost containment system.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 36-2903.04, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
36-2903.04. Prior wards of the state; annual eligibility renewal; residency determination
A. The administration shall determine
the eligibility of any eligible person as defined in section 36‑2901,
paragraph 6, subdivision (a), item (iii) and shall redetermine
eligibility on an annual basis. The
administration or the administration's designee shall annually renew the eligibility
of an individual who is determined eligible pursuant to section 36‑2901,
paragraph 6, subdivision (a), item (iii) without requiring additional information from the individual until
the individual reaches twenty‑six years of age, unless the individual
notifies the administration that the individual either:
1. Moved out of this state.
2. Provided information to the
administration indicating that the individual may qualify for a different
eligibility category.
B. During the individual's
eligibility period, the administration or its designee may use reliable
information available to the agency to determine state residency, including
through an electronic data match.
