Overview
Requires each school operated by a school district or charter school to post, in a public area, a sign that contains the telephone number of a national child abuse hotline and instructions for calling 911.
History
Statute instructs DCS to operate and maintain a centralized intake hotline, commonly referred to as the Arizona Child Abuse Hotline, to take calls concerning suspected abuse or neglect (A.R.S. § 8-455).
Provisions
1. Requires each school operated by a school district or charter school to post, in a clearly visible location and in a public area of the school, a sign that contains the following information in English and Spanish and in any other language if requested by a parent or a guardian of an enrolled student:
a) In boldfaced type, the telephone number of a national child abuse hotline; and
b) Instructions for calling 911 for emergencies
