HB 2866: appropriation; Arizona arts trust fund
Sponsor: Representative DeGrazia, LD 10
Committee on Appropriations
Overview
Appropriates $3,500,000 from the state General Fund in FY 2021 to the Arizona Arts Trust Fund (AATF).
History
The AATF is administered by the Arizona Commission on the Arts (Commission). Monies in the AATF are used to award grants to organizations with the purpose of advancing and fostering the arts in Arizona. Expenditures for grants are authorized by a majority vote of the Commission (A.R.S. § 41-983.01). Revenues to the fund come from a portion of fees on the filing of annual reports by domestic and foreign corporations with the Arizona Corporation Commission (A.R.S. § 10-122). The FY 2020 General Appropriations Act appropriated $2,000,000 from the state GF in FY 2020 to the AATF (Laws 2019, Chapter 263, Section 121).
