Urges the U.S. Congress to support survivors of military sexual assault.
History
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is an executive department of the United States. The purpose of the VA is to administer the laws providing benefits and other services to veterans and the dependents and the beneficiaries of veterans (38 U.S. Code § 301).
Provisions
1. Urges the U.S. Congress to support survivors of military sexual assault through funding and gender-specific health transition training.
2. Urges the U.S. Congress to provide:
a) Funding to the VA for extensive outreach to those servicemembers separating from the armed forces; and
b) Continued funding for modernization of the VA and Department of Defense health records.
