ARIZONA STATE SENATE
Fifty-Fourth Legislature, Second Regular Session
telecommunications fund; report; posting
Purpose
Requires the Director of the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) to post the annual report of the Telecommunications Fund (Fund) on the ADOA website.
Background
The Telecommunications Program Office (Office) was established within ADOA to enter into a primary contract with a corporation to provide for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and to act as the state's agent for telecommunication carrier services to state offices, departments and agencies. The Office may also enter into more than one contract with each statewide telecommunications product or service not provided by the primary contractor (A.R.S. § 41-712).
The Fund was established for paying costs incurred to operate the Office and consists of legislative appropriations, grants and monies derived from administering the Office or the sale or exchange of telecommunication assets and payments for services provided by the Office. ADOA administers the Fund and is required to prepare an annual report accounting for all monies deposited in the Fund, sources of the monies received, purposes for which the monies were used in the preceding fiscal year and plans for using monies in the next fiscal year (A.R.S. § 41-713).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.

1. Requires the Director of ADOA to post the Fund's annual report on the ADOA's website.
2. Makes a technical change.
3. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
