FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

1. Clarifies that a patient may have tried a prescription drug in the same pharmacologic class with a similar efficacy and side effect profile as the drug being requested.

2. Specifies that a patient’s adherence during a drug trial must have provided sufficient time to allow for a positive treatment outcome.
