AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1. Specifies that
compounding pharmacies are authorized to have access to active pharmaceutical
ingredients that are prepared for use by a U.S. FDA-registered manufacturer or
packager, shipped in compliance with Arizona law and accompanied by a
certificate of analysis detailing quality specifications.
2. Clarifies that
compounding pharmacies are authorized to have access to dietary supplements,
medications and amino acids that are already in use by Arizona compounding
pharmacies.
3. Removes proposed
language directing compounding pharmacies to comply with specified federal
reporting requirements.
