AN ACT
amending section 12-2213, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to witnesses,

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 12-2213, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
12-2213. Privilege from arrest; exception; definition
A. A witness shall be is privileged from arrest, except for treason, felony and breach of the peace if the arrest is supported by a signed judicial warrant or order, during his the witness's attendance at court, and in going to and returning therefrom from court, allowing one day for each twenty-five miles from his the witness's place of abode.
B. For the purposes of this section, "witness":
1. means a person who is a party, witness or potential witness in the witness's court action.
2. includes a family member of the person or a person who resides in the same household as the person who is a party, witness or potential witness.
