On the death of barbara lubin.

Barbara Lubin passed away on February 6, 2021 after a courageous fight with breast cancer at the age of sixty-three.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 8, 1957, Barbara spent her childhood in multiple states before settling in Flagstaff in 1969. She graduated from Flagstaff High School before earning her bachelor's degree in journalism and her master's degree in business administration from Northern Arizona University.
A lifelong Democrat and an Arizona Democratic Party fixture beginning in the 1980s, Barbara was most recently the director of operations. She spent the greatest part of her life working behind the scenes, providing advice and guidance to those who sought political office and others who were seeking positions in which they could help improve the lives of others. After moving to Phoenix in 1982, she worked as an aide in the Arizona Senate and then for Corporation Commissioner Jim Weeks. Giving generously of her time and abilities, she also spent many years volunteering for Democratic candidates and at the PTA at her daughter's elementary school. Additionally, Barbara skillfully managed the Madison School District's art masterpiece program.
In 2000, Barbara became the first candidate to qualify for Clean Elections funding for her unsuccessful run for the Corporation Commission. She went on to train others running for office at positions at the Clean Elections Institute, the Progressive Majority and the Arizona Democratic Party, where she earned the well-deserved reputation for passion and work ethic. Throughout her career, Barbara mentored countless candidates and welcomed volunteers with open arms. Funny, tenacious and optimistic, Barbara was a talented leader and a pillar of knowledge, trustworthiness and reliability.
A devoted wife, loving mother and loyal friend, Barbara will be remembered for her infectious smile, refreshing laughter and fighting spirit. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 33 years, Stanley, her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and James Hall, and her granddaughters, as well as siblings and nieces and nephews.
Therefore
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona,
the Senate concurring:
That the Members of the Legislature regret the passing of Barbara Lubin and extend their sympathies to her family and friends.
