FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2021-2022, $35,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the Arizona Board of Regents for the Arizona Promise Program.

Page 87, between lines 21 and 22, insert:

"Sec. 122. Appropriation; Arizona board of regents; Arizona promise program

A. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2021-2022, the sum of $35,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2021-2022 to the Arizona board of regents for the Arizona promise program.

B. The legislature intends that the appropriation in subsection A of this section be considered ongoing funding in future years."
