Directs any person who submits 25 or more voter registration forms in a rolling calendar year to place their unique identifier on each form.
History
Current statute requires a justice of the peace, a county recorder or a deputy registrar to supply, without charge, a voter registration form to any qualified person who has requested registration information. The county recorder is instructed to distribute state mail in registration forms at locations throughout the county that are open to the general public such as government offices, fire stations and public libraries. Additionally, the county recorder is authorized to provide voter registration forms in quantity to individuals and groups that request forms for conducting voter registration drives (A.R.S. § 16-131).
Provisions
1. Requires any person or group who submits 25 or more voter registration forms to be processed in a rolling calendar year to obtain a unique identifier from the county in which they are soliciting voter registrations. (Sec. 1)
2. Instructs the person or group to place the unique identifier on each voter registration form that is collected or distributed by that person or group regardless of where the form was obtained. (Sec. 1)
