HB 2541: telecommunications fund; report; posting

Overview
Requires the Director of the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) to post an annual report on the ADOA’s website.
History
The Telecommunications Program Office (Office) is established within ADOA to enter into a contract to provide the installation and maintain telecommunication systems and act as Arizona's agent for telecommunication carrier services to the offices, departments and agencies of this state. The Office, with the approval of the ADOA Director, can enter into more than one contract for each service or product not provided by the primary contractor (A.R.S. § 41-712).
The Telecommunications Fund (Fund) is established to pay the costs of operating the Office and ADOA is responsible for administering the Fund. In addition to administering the Fund, ADOA is required to prepare a report that accounts for all monies deposited in the Fund, the sources of the monies received for deposit, the purposes for which the monies were used during the preceding fiscal year and the future spending plans for Fund monies (A.R.S. § 41-713).
