Overview

Prohibits the use of permissible consumer fireworks on all days between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 8:00 A.M.

History

Permissible fireworks include cylindrical and cone fountains, illuminating torches, wheels, ground spinners flitter sparklers, ground sparkling devices. Permissible fireworks for sale under state law may not be sold to a person under the age of 16.

Currently, there are restrictions on the days that people can buy, sell and use fireworks. A governing body that chooses to regulate the sale and use of permissible consumer fireworks cannot require any additional signage requirements, except that additional signage may contain language that reflects the dates in which the use and sale of permissible consumer fireworks are allowed by retail sales display of permissible consumer fireworks. (A.R.S § 36-1606).
