Purpose
Requires a county treasurer to post all annual and monthly reports on the county treasurer's website within five days after the county treasurer submits the report to the county board of supervisors (county BOS).
Background
A county treasurer must report accounts of collection, custody and disbursement of public revenue to the county BOS on the 15th day of each month for the preceding month. The county treasurer must prepare a statement of the: 1) amount of monies or other property received; 2) sources from which the monies or property derived; and 3) amount of payments or disbursements, with the amount remaining on hand. A county treasurer must also make a full report to the county BOS by the last business day of June (A.R.S. § 11-501).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.
Provisions
1. Requires a county treasurer to post all annual and monthly reports on the county treasurer's website.
2. Requires a county treasurer to post a report within five days after the county treasurer submits the report to the county BOS.
3. Makes technical changes.
4. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
