AN ACT
Appropriating monies for home and community-based services.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Supplemental appropriations; Arizona cost containment system administration; department of economic security; exemption
A. In addition to any other appropriations made in fiscal year 2021-2022, the following sums are appropriated to the following agencies in fiscal year 2021-2022:
1. The sums of $30,121,100 from the children's health insurance program fund established by section 36-2995, Arizona Revised Statutes, and $1,078,032,800 of expenditure authority are appropriated to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration to implement the American rescue plan act of 2021 home and community-based services spending plan and to adjust funding formula requirements.
2. The sum of $362,700,000 of expenditure authority is appropriated to the department of economic security division of developmental disabilities to implement the American rescue plan act of 2021 home and community-based services spending plan.
B. The appropriations made in subsection A of this section are exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
