An Act
providing for the continuation of temporary licensure for health professionals.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Temporary licenses; health professionals; extension; delayed repeal; definitions
A. Any temporary license that was issued by a health profession regulatory board to a health professional during the governor's declaration of emergency related to COVID-19 and that was active on March 1, 2022 does not expire until January 1, 2023.
B. This section is repealed from and after June 30, 2023.
C. For the purposes of this section, "health profession regulatory board" and "health professional" have the same meanings prescribed in section 32-3201, Arizona Revised Statutes.
Sec. 2. Emergency
This act is an emergency measure that is necessary to preserve the public peace, health or safety and is operative immediately as provided by law.
