HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2056

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. Title 45, chapter 1, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 45-142, to read:
45-142. Limitation on Colorado River water transfers
A person or entity with a contract right to use any amount of the one hundred sixty-four thousand six hundred fifty-two acre-feet of fourth priority Colorado River water that is subject to the Boulder Canyon project act (45 Stat. 1057) and that is available to water users in this state for use on state or privately owned lands in this state may not transfer or otherwise convey that claim for use of that water:
1. for use other than an agricultural, municipal, domestic, commercial or industrial use.
2. to any location in the state further than five miles from the colorado River."
