Overview
Requires notices of a public character issued by any city or town (municipality) to be posted on the municipality's website.
History
Municipalities are subject to various public notice requirements. Under current law, the following notices must be published by a municipality in a local newspaper:
1) Notices of election;
2) Invitations for bids;
3) Notices of letting contracts;
4) Laws and ordinances; and
5) Other notices of a public character which are issued by the governing body of a municipality (A.R.S. § 9-812).
Provisions
1. Adds, in addition to publishing public notices in a newspaper, a requirement that a municipality must also post its public notices on its website. (Sec. 1)
