Overview

Adds death reporting requirements for the state registrar of vital records.

History

Statute requires the Department of Health Services to transmit a record of the death of every resident of the state to the Secretary of State monthly, and once annually.  The Secretary of State must only use this record for the sole purpose of canceling the names of deceased persons from the statewide voter registration database (A.R.S. § 16-165).

Statute currently requires the state registrar of vital records to transmit a record of death for residents at least 16 years old to the county recorder (A.R.S. § 36-302).
