HB 2339: municipal notices and ordinances; posting

Overview
Requires publication of notices and ordinances to be posted in a newspaper or on the city or town's website.
History
Current statute requires a municipality to publish notices of election, invitations for bids, notices of letting contracts, laws and ordinances and other notices of a public character in either a newspaper that is printed within the city or town or in a newspaper that is printed and published within the county in which the city or town is located and has a greater circulation to residents of the municipality (A.R.S. § 9-812).
Provisions
1. Directs a city or town to post notices of election, invitations for bids, notices of letting contracts, laws and ordinances and other notices of a public character on the city or town's website or publish in a newspaper. (Sec. 1)
2. Stipulates that a city or town that posts notices on their website must provide a link to a listing of all current notices and ordinances on the website's home page. (Sec. 1)
3. Makes technical and conforming changes. (Sec. 1)
