HB 2657: forced labor; manufactured goods

Overview
Prohibits businesses operating in Arizona from selling goods that were made with forced labor or slave labor.
Provisions
1.
Prohibits a business entity from selling
goods in Arizona or to Arizonans through electronic means if the goods were
manufactured using forced labor or slave labor. (Sec. 1)
2. Requires a corporate officer to annually sign and file an attestation under the penalty of perjury with the Attorney General by the end of each January stating that the goods to be sold are not the result of forced labor or slave labor. (Sec. 1)
3. Limits the extension of the attestation filing period to 30 days. (Sec. 1)
4. Directs the Attorney General to investigate violations. (Sec. 1)
