Overview

Eliminates the minimum fee amounts relating to real estate licensure.

History

Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) was established in 1921 and administers real estate laws for the purpose of protecting the public interest through licensure and regulation of the real estate profession in Arizona.  The Department regulates and issues licenses for real estate and membership camping brokers and salespersons and cemeteries. The Department oversees the activities of licensees, investigates complaints against licensees and land developers, participates in administrative hearings and administers the Homeowners Association Dispute Process. ADRE is directed by the Real Estate Commissioner, who is appointed by the Governor (Title 31, Chapter 2, A.R.S.).

Statute outlines licensure fees which ADRE charges as follows:

1)   Broker's examination application fee of $35-$125;

2)   Broker's examination fee of $35-$100;

3)   Broker's license fee of $75-$250;

4)   Broker's renewal fee of $100-$400;

5)   Salesperson's examination application fee of $15-$75;

6)   Salesperson's examination fee of $15-$50;

7)   Salesperson's license fee of $35-$125;

8)   Salesperson's renewal fee of $60-$200;

9)   Branch office broker's license fee or renewal fee of $60-$200;

10) Change of name and address of licensee fee of not more than $20;

11) Duplicate license fee of $5;

12) Reinstatement of license fee of $5;

13) Certificate of correctness of copy of records fee of $1, plus the cost of reproduction;

14) Temporary broker's license fee of $15-$50;

15) Temporary cemetery salesperson's license fee of $15-$50; and

16) Membership camping salesperson certificate of convenience fee of $15-$50

All monies collected from these fees are deposited in the state General Fund (A.R.S. §§ 32-2103; 32-2132).
