Overview
Includes an active-duty military service member's spouse and a honorably discharged veteran as persons eligible to receive a business licensing fee waiver. Appropriates monies to reimburse agencies who waive licensing fees.
History
Statute currently states that except for an individual applying for a license for an abortion clinic or medical marijuana, an agency must waive any initial business licensing fees for an applicant whose family income does not exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines A.R.S. 41-1080.01).
Statute defines an agency as any agency, department, board or commission of Arizona that issues a license for the purposes of operating a business in Arizona or to an individual who provides a service to any person (A.R.S. 41-1080).
A license is defined as any agency permit, certificate, approval, registration or charter issued by any agency for the purposes of operating a business in Arizona or to an individual who provides a service to a person (A.R.S. 41-1080).
