Overview

Instructs the Secretary of State, as session law, to request this state's specific instructions to provide proof of citizenship be included on the federal voter registration form.

History

The United States Election Assistance Commission (EAC) was established by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002.  The Commission is a bipartisan, independent commission charged with adopting voluntary voting system guidelines, developing guidance to meet HAVA requirements and serving as a national clearinghouse of information on election administration (U.S. Election Assistance Commission).
