ADOA; public buildings
Purpose
Adds three specified state offices to, and removes four specified state offices from, the list of buildings for which the Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is responsible for the allocation of space, operation, alternation, renovation and security.
Background
ADOA supports the business and administrative operations of the state government (ADOA). ADOA is responsible for the direction and control of public buildings maintenance and for the allocation of space, operation, alteration, renovation and security for the: 1) executive tower of the state capitol building; 2) state office buildings in Tucson; 3) state office building at 519 East Beale Street in Kingman, 2910 North 44th Street in Phoenix, 417 West Roosevelt Street in Phoenix, 9535 East Doubletree Ranch Road in Scottsdale and 9545 East Doubletree Ranch Road in Scottsdale; and 4) all other buildings owned or leased by the state and located near the state capitol building and the state office buildings in Tucson. The Director of ADOA must establish rules for operation, maintenance and security of buildings and grounds (A.R.S. § 41-791).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.
Provisions
1. Adds, to the list of buildings for which ADOA is responsible for the allocation of space, operation, alteration, renovation and security, the state office buildings located at:
a) 701 East Jefferson Street in Phoenix;
b) 801 East Jefferson Street in Phoenix; and
c) 1030 North 32nd Street in Phoenix.
2. Removes, from the list of buildings for which ADOA is responsible for the allocation of space, operation, alteration, renovation and security, the state office buildings located at:
a) 519 East Beale Street in Kingman;
b) 2910 North 44th Street in Phoenix;
c) 9535 East Doubletree Ranch Road in Scottsdale; and
d) 9545 East Doubletree Ranch Road in Scottsdale.
2. Makes technical and conforming changes.
3. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
