Purpose

Appropriates $53,000,000 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2023 to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to conduct tier 2 studies for specified projects.

Background

In 2021, a tier 1 study was published for: 1) the Sonoran Corridor in Pima County, which stretches between Interstates 19 and 10, south of the Tucson International Airport; and 2) Interstate 11, which stretches 280 miles from Nogales to Wickenburg (ADOT).
