proposing an amendment to the constitution of Arizona; amending article II, constitution of Arizona, by adding section 38; relating to declaration of rights.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:

1. Article II, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended by adding section 38 as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:

38. Right to agreed on medium of exchange; ownership of money or other currency

Section 38. A. The right of the people to own, hold and use a mutually agreed on medium of exchange, including cash, coin, bullion or digital currency or scrip, when trading or contracting for goods and services may not be infringed.

B. This state or any county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state may not prohibit or encumber the ownership or holding of any form or amount of money or other currency.

2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
