amending title 13, chapter 29, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 13-2925; relating to offenses against public order.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 13, chapter 29, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 13-2925, to read:
13-2925. Unlawful kangaroo exchange; classification; definition
A. It is unlawful for a person, to intentionally, knowingly, recklessly or with criminal negligence purchase, receive, sell, transfer or otherwise exchange for a commercial purpose any part of a dead kangaroo or any product containing a part of a dead kangaroo.
B. A violation of this section is a class 1 misdemeanor.
C. For the purposes of this section, "kangaroo" means any of the following:
1. an osphranter rufus commonly known as a red kangaroo.
2. Macropus giganteus commonly known as an eastern grey kangaroo.
3. Macropus fuliginosus commonly known as a western grey kangaroo.
4. Osphranter robustus commonly known as the common wallaroo.
