Overview
Changes the type of information that must be included in the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners' (Board) annual written report to the Governor and requires the Board to post the report on their public website.
History
Currently, the Board must make an annual written report no later than October 1 of each year for the Governor for the preceding year that includes: 1) the number of licensed Arizona dentists; 2) the number of licenses issued during the preceding year and to whom issued; 3) the number of examinations held and the dates of the examinations; 4) the facts with respect to accusations filed with the board, of hearings held in connection with those accusations and the results of those hearings; 5) the facts with respect to the prosecution of persons charged with dentistry violations; 6) a full and complete statement of financial transactions of the board; and 7) any matters that the Board wishes to include in the report or that the Governor requires (A.R.S. § 32-1210).
Provisions
1. Specifies that the Board must submit an annual written report to the Governor for the preceding fiscal year. (Sec. 1)
2. Adds that the Board's annual report include the following information:
a) the number of licensed dental therapists and hygienists in Arizona;
b) the number of certified denturists in Arizona;
c) the number of registered business entities in Arizona; and
d) the number of certificates and registrations issued for each license type, certificate and registration, during the preceding fiscal year. (Sec. 1)
3. Removes the requirement that the Board include the number of examinations held and the dates of the examinations in their annual report. (Sec. 1)
4. Directs the Board to include the outcomes with respect to complaints filed with the Board and any formal hearings held in connection with those complaints. (Sec. 1)
5. Specifies that the Board include facts with respect to persons charged with dentistry violations. (Sec. 1)
6. Requires the Board to post their annual report on their public website. (Sec. 1)
7. Makes technical and conforming changes. (Sec. 1)
