ARIZONA STATE SENATE

AMENDED
appropriation; business services; salaries; study
Purpose
Appropriates $360,000 from the state General Fund (state GF) in FY 2024 to the Secretary of State (SOS) for salary increases for business services staff members and a business process study.
Background
The SOS provides
a number of business services that include: 1) recording the partnerships of
those who do business in Arizona; 2) registering trade names, trademarks and
issuing certificates of registration; 3) registering telemarketers and veterans'
charitable organizations; and
4) commissioning notaries and certifying notarized documents going to foreign
countries (SOS).
S.B. 1326 appropriates $360,000 from the state GF in FY 2024 to the SOS.
Provisions
1. Appropriates $360,000 from the state GF in FY 2024 to the SOS for salary increases for business services staff members and a business process study.
2. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
Amendment Adopted by Committee of the Whole
· Increases, from $110,000 to $360,000, the appropriation from the state GF in FY 2024 to the SOS.
