amending title 38, chapter 3, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 38-451; relating to official acts.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 38, chapter 3, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 38-451, to read:

START_STATUTE38-451. Public officers; publications, resources or public service announcements; report; definitions

A. For any publication, resource or public service announcement that is issued by a public officer, that contains the public officer's name or likeness and that is distributed free of charge or through THE use of taxpayer resources, the public officer shall publish a quarterly report on the public officer's website describing the amount of money that was spent on the publication, resource or public service announcement.

B. For the purposes of this section:

1. "Public officer" has the same meaning prescribed in section 38-541 and includes a local public officer as defined in section 38-541.

2. "Public service announcement" means any audio, video, digital or print message that is DISTRIBUTED to the general public to create awareness about a topic of PUBLIC interest. END_STATUTE
