SENATE BILL 1469

An Act

appropriating monies to the water infrastructure finance authority of Arizona.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Appropriation; water infrastructure finance authority; water infrastructure projects; intent; reversion

A. The sum of $41,916,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2023-2024 to the water infrastructure finance authority of Arizona to distribute to the city of Page for water infrastructure projects as follows:

1. $5,416,000 for expansion of the wastewater treatment plant.

2. $13,500,000 for the design and construction of a pipeline.

3. $23,000,000 for the design and construction of an intake pump station.

B. The legislature intends that the city of Page make a good faith effort to obtain grant monies from the federal government for the projects described in subsection A of this section.  If the city of Page receives monies from the federal government for the projects described in subsection A of this section, the city of Page shall revert to the water infrastructure finance authority an amount equal to the amount of monies received but not more than the total amount appropriated in subsection A of this section.  The water infrastructure finance authority shall revert the amount received from the city of Page to the state general fund.
