An Act
appropriating monies to the department of transportation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; department of transportation; Interstate 10 interchange; intent; exemption
A. The sum of $5,000,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2024-2025 to the department of transportation for the design concept report and the design of a freeway interchange on Interstate 10 at Dean Road.
B. The legislature intends that the department of transportation use any federal monies received by the department for the design concept report and the design of the freeway interchange on Interstate 10 at Dean Road to supplement the monies appropriated by subsection A of this section.
C. The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
