HB 2103: traumatic event counseling; constables

Overview
Includes constables in the definition of public safety employee to qualify them for trauma-related counseling.
History
Public safety employees are individuals who are: 1) members of either the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System or Corrections Officer Retirement Plan; 2) or probation officers, surveillance officers, juvenile detention officers or 911 dispatchers (A.R.S. § 38-672).
Public safety employees are entitled to up to 12 visits of licensed counseling when they witness or are subjected to specified traumatic events (A.R.S. § 38-672).
Provisions
1. Adds constables to the definition of public safety employee. (Sec. 1)
2. Makes conforming changes. (Sec. 1)
