Overview

Modifies the existing offense of drive by shooting to include discharging a weapon immediately after exiting a motor vehicle.

History

Current law prescribed the offense of drive by shooting, a class 2 felony, as intentionally discharging a weapon from a motor vehicle at a person, another occupied motor vehicle or an occupied structure (A.R.S. § 13-1209).

Provisions

1. Changes the offense of drive by shooting to include intentionally discharging a weapon at a person, another occupied motor vehicle or an occupied structure from within or immediately after exiting a motor vehicle. (Sec. 1)
