appropriation; Page water infrastructure project
Purpose
Appropriates $6,000,000 in FY 2025 from the state General Fund (state GF) to the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA) to distribute to the City of Page for tunnel boring for the construction of an intake pump station near Glen Canyon Dam.
Background
WIFA must provide financial assistance and loans for construction and improvement of wastewater treatment facilities, drinking water facilities and water reclamation systems. WIFA may issue water supply development bonds to water providers for water supply development projects and provide financial assistance to water providers to finance water supply development projects (A.R.S. § 14-1203).
S.B. 1520 appropriates $6,000,000 in FY 2025 from the state GF to WIFA to distribute to the City of Page for tunnel boring for the construction of an intake pump station near Glen Canyon Dam.
Provisions

2. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
