ARIZONA STATE SENATE
Fifty-Sixth Legislature, Second Regular Session
G&F; publications revolving fund
Purpose
Reverts any monies exceeding $250,000, rather than $80,000, in the Arizona Game and Fish Publications Revolving Fund (Revolving Fund) to the Arizona Game and Fish Fund.
Background
The Game and Fish Commission (Commission) may expend monies for the purpose of producing publications relating to wildlife and activities of the Arizona Game and Fish Department for sale to the public. The Commission may establish the price to be paid for annual subscriptions and single copies of such publications. All monies received from the sale of such publications must be deposited in the Revolving Fund (A.R.S. § 17-231).
The Revolving Fund consists of monies received from the sale of outlined publications. Monies in the Revolving Fund in excess of $80,000 at any time immediately revert to the Game and Fish Fund. Up to $80,000 in the Revolving Fund are exempt from lapsing (A.R.S. § 17-269).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.
