Graham rehabilitation center; uses; nonlapsing
Purpose
Includes, in the FY 2024 General Appropriations Act appropriation for the Graham County Rehabilitation Center (GCRC), $800,000 to remodel the GCRC facility in Willcox, in addition to the GCRC facility in Safford.
Background
The mission of the GCRC is to promote the general welfare of individuals with a disability by providing the ways and means whereby each individual may have the opportunity to reach their full potential according to each one's unique abilities, that each person might be an integral part of home, family and community, thereby giving purpose, meaning and dignity of life (GCRC).
The FY 2024 General Appropriations Act appropriated $830,000 to Graham County, including $800,000 to remodel the GCRC facilities in Safford (Laws 2023, Ch. 133).
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.
Provisions
1. Includes, as an authorized use for the $800,000 appropriation included in the FY 2024 General Appropriations Act, a remodel of the GCRC facility in Willcox, in addition to the GCRC facility in Safford.
2. Exempts the appropriation from lapsing.
3. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
